I figured I would start this and im going to update it as the project moves along.

I found a new but second hand kit on totallyamaha and it should be delivered on Friday. So as long as everything is as it is supposed to be, I will be starting the build shortly after.

The kit is the Stage 2 Powderlites rear mount kit. http://www.powderlites.com/ It is supposed to make just under 280 HP on 91 octane pump gas at 14 lbs of boost. For those unfamiliar wit the nytro, that is a 150 HP increase over stock :) It uses the Rapid Bike 3 piggyback fuel system which is capable of adjusting fuel, timing and has a built in stutter box. The powderlites kit comes with a really good basemap so you really dont have to do much with it. I will have a copy of the Pro software so the abiliity to tweak everything on the dyno will be possible.

I will be running a Camoplast Challenger Extreme 162x15x2.5 track, apex rails with hiperfax hyfax's and avid cnc 7 tooth extrovert drivers. I will be running the stock skid this year because im not made of money like some welders out there(cough travis, cough anthony :P )

Clutching will be what powderlites recommends and will include a shockwave adjustable helix.

Couple of pictures of the kit and the stock Nytro .

After getting jerked around my Purolator i finally got my turbo kit in. The box wasnt exactly in mint shape so i was a bit leary as to what I would find inside. It looks like the only thing that got a bit of a road rash was my intercooler. Doesnt look to be anything major and hopefully it will bend back ok without breaking. The price you pay when buying second hand, although im a happy man since i saved around $1600 from what it would be for me to buy that kit from Powderlites right now.

Here is the complete turbo kit. As you can see it has a lot of pieces and is supposed to be a complete kit. That's refreshing because I know exactly how much the little stuff adds up from when I did the custom kit on my Honda Civic. The instructions that come with the kit(via email) are pretty vague for someone who isnt doing these kits on a daily basis. I guess there are upgraded instructions which will be available shortly so that will be nice.

lol ya i knew someone would comment about that. That is the blowoff valve, it is integrated into the intercooler. The funny thing is that the "mopar" part is made in japan so ya id say it would be a quality piece :P
